How to do things you really hate doing: either ignore them, or gamify them. The owl taught us this. Besides setting up an automation for my bookkeeping, I still had to download a number of invoices from several websites. To make this task more fun, I built a Doom-like, FPS-style game to collect them.
• Does it have a droning, thumping drum beat? OC
• Does it involve tipping dancers to win more time? Yes
• Does it involve shooting the bad guys, picking up stacks of cash and stuff? Yes
• Do I enjoy playing video games? Not really
• Am I good at them? Not really
• Did I learn a lot? Sure
• Does it get the job done? It does
